Wow. My babies are ONE today. I guess they don't really qualify as babies anymore, they are now toddlers. Such a cliche, but they
do grow up so fast. I can't believe how much they've changed in a year. Here are some pictures to show the astounding changes...
Kate - December 10, 2008

And to show how much they've GROWN, I took pictures of their preemie sized outfits that they wore home from the hospital last year next to the pajamas they are now wearing. What a difference!!
Chase - Then wore preemie sized clothes and weighed 4 lbs, 2oz.
Now wears 18 month sized clothes and weighs 24.5 lbs.

Kate - Then was swimming in preemie sized clothes and weighed 2lbs, 15oz.
Now fills out her 12 month sized clothes and weighs 21 lbs.

Reece - Then wore preemie sized clothes and weighed 4lbs, 8oz.
Now fills out his 18 month sized clothes and weighs 23.5lbs.

We had a fantastic celebratory day! Daddy took the day off to help us celebrate and he started off the day by making us all french toast for breakfast. Unfortunately the kids then smelled like syrup all day long! We then gave them their new chairs that Great-Grandma and Grandpa Weber, Oma and Opa Aries, and Mommy and Daddy bought them. They loved sitting in their new chairs watching
Special Agent Oso, their favorite cartoon.

For lunch, we took them to Red Robin. They each got a balloon tied to their highchairs, which they were fascinated with. They shared a kiddie-sized cheeseburger and also ate some cantaloupe and pieces of a french fry. It was a special treat when the Red Robin gang sang them the Happy Birthday song and no one even cried!! They thoroughly enjoyed their ice cream sundaes, their first experience with ice cream!

My BF, Dani, and her mom came over in the afternoon to hang out with us and brought the kids each a ride-on truck that plays music. They LOVE their new trucks! Reece sits on his and dances whenever the music plays, Chase doesn't know quite what to make of it, and Kate can only seem to make hers go backwards - so funny to watch!

We had a fabulous day together, not only celebrating the kids' first birthday, but celebrating the fact that Jacob and I survived the first year! We are so thankful for all of our friends and family that helped us get through the tough times. I don't know how we could have done it without all of their help, support, and prayers.
Happy Birthday Reece, Chase and Kate! We love you!
