We had the kids' "berry" first birthday party last Saturday and they had a grand time! It was a ton of work to plan and prepare for it, but totally worth it! The kids had their first taste of cake, got spoiled with tons of presents, and enjoyed spending time with all of their favorite people.
Overall, the kids were pretty polite about eating their cakes. Their was no smashing faces into cake and no cake even ended up on the floor. They ate some of the frosting and a tiny bit of the cake and were done with it.
As you can tell from the picture, Kate wasn't super excited about her cake. The balloon tied to her highchair was much more interesting to her.
Chase thoroughly enjoyed his cake.
The kids got tons of presents, but of course the wrapping paper, cards and boxes were much more interesting to them than the actual toys.
Who ME!? I didn't get into the garbage and eat all of the kids' leftover cake! Bad Daisy!!
