18 MONTHS!!!

Wow. I can't believe my little babies are a year and a half old.
They can walk. They can talk. And they are even wearing toddler sized (2T) clothes now!
How did that happen!?

Chase
The trio enjoying goldfish crackers in their snack traps while sitting on the couch.

The kids had their 18 month check-up today and let's just say it was a NIGHTMARE!
They hate getting weighed.
They hate getting measured.
They hate the exam room.
They hate the exam table.
They hate the stethoscope.
They hate hearing their siblings cry.
They hate the nurse.
They hate the doctor.
They hate being touched.
And they most definitely hate getting shots!

I didn't take any pictures, so I'll give you a mental picture instead...
Three screaming naked babies,
two sweating parents who are outnumbered by their children,
a frustrated nurse,
a doctor who can't hear what you are saying because of the 3 screaming children,
all crammed into a tiny exam room that feels like it is about 100 degrees inside.
After being at the clinic for 2 whole hours,
we finally left with a big thumbs up on their physical and developmental progress.

The Stats:
Reece: 25 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile),
32 inches tall (50th percentile)
Chase: 26 lbs 2 oz (50th percentile),
33 inches tall (75th percentile)
Kate: 24 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile),
31 inches tall (50th percentile)
Can you believe my little 2 lb 15 oz baby girl is now almost 25 pounds!?

Reece: 7 teeth
Chase: 14 teeth
Kate: 7 teeth

Chase has been feeling under the weather lately and has been running a high fever (104 degrees), which made him especailly cranky for the appointment. As we sat in the exam room, a rash appeared on his face and literally started spreading across his forehead and neck while we sat there.
Turns out he has roseola (aka sixth disease) , a viral infection that causes a high fever and rash.
The poor guy got so upset during the appointment that he threw up on himself.
It's been a rough couple of days, dealing with him not feeling well. He's not eating well or sleeping well, which means we are not sleeping well either. And the poor kid wants to be held and cuddled all day long, which makes my days really difficult. I secretly like it though because Chase is not a cuddly kid and I've kind of enjoyed cuddling him the past few days :)

Other than that, though, the doctor commended us on raising three perfectly healthy, beautiful babies!
God has blessed us richly.
