The other day the rain finally ceased, so I thought it would be fun to take the kids to the park.
The plan was to have them help me collect some pine cones so that I could make some scented pine cones to use as fall decorations around the house.
They each brought a bucket to put their pine cones in,
but after only putting a few in their buckets, they were over it and on to more exciting things.
Like chasing geese.
But that fun quickly ended as soon as the geese flew into the water.
The boys thought it was great fun, but Kate was not so into it.
She was busy throwing a fit because her new shoes got dirty. What a girl.
So I helped her clean her shoes off and they all played on the toys while I proceeded to collect pine cones by myself.
Eventually Kate decided to help me again.
I thought it would be nice to get a cute picture of all three kids together sitting on one of the picnic benches.
Ever tried to get a good picture of three toddlers at the same time??
Not so easy.
They wiggle.
They won't look at you.
They climb down.
They climb back up.
They wiggle some more.
They climb back down.
They give you their grouchiest face for putting them through this torture.
And then when you start making strange noises and goofy faces to grab their attention, they finally give you what you've been wanting all along...
ONE decent picture!
AND I even got a bag full of pine cones.
I'd say it was a successful trip.

So cute! I love all the outtakes and can't believe you got such a good one!
Outtakes? Those are real life - real kids - posed pics of their beautiful faces are wonderful. Never disdain capturing those real moments. Your photography reflects your wonderful parenting and the nuances of the personalities of the three of them and their love for you. Continued blessings to all of you for you bless out lives.
