Halloween Festivities

This year's Halloween was action-packed!

On Friday we went to preschool, all dressed up in our pumpkin costumes.

At the end of class, Miss Alysia gave the kids each a little treat bag. They busted it open on the way home and helped themselves to the tootsie roll suckers. They were a sticky mess by the time we got home!

On Saturday we prepared for Halloween night by carving our pumpkins.
The kids weren't too interested in participating this year, so as they ran a muck, Jacob and I finished the job ourselves.

Daddy carved the kids a cute Elmo pumpkin while I carved them a pumpkin with
the number 3.

On Sunday afternoon (Halloween day) we took the kids trick-or-treating in downtown Snohomish at all of the local businesses. Apparently that was the place to be as the sidewalks were teeming with characters all dressed up! Luckily Grandma and Grandpa came with us to help herd our kids along.

The whole week prior to Halloween the kids had been practicing carrying their pumpkin buckets around and saying, "Treat please!" (saying trick-or-treat is too hard for them) so they were ready when Halloween day finally rolled around.

We had to stop for lots of candy breaks along the way.

Grandpa Bill was a sucker for their persistent requests for "Treats please!"

Later that evening, we took the kids for a short jaunt of trick-or-treating around our neighborhood.
They ended up with a ton of loot, which
Mommy and Daddy the kids are really enjoying eating this week :)

 What a fun filled weekend!
