At Last!

Chase is crawling!!! After weeks upon weeks of frustration (his and mine), he can finally move around and get in and out of a sitting position. We have been going to occupational/physical therapy for a few weeks now and have been doing lots of exercises and practice at home and it has finally paid off. I was shocked the other day when I went into his room to get him up from a nap and he was sitting up in the middle of his crib, so proud of himself! Later that evening, we set him down in our room right before his bath and he got on all fours and crawled towards the bathroom (this kid LOVES baths!). I jumped up and down and cheered him on, which scared him and made him cry - oops! I was just so excited!
He is like a completely different kid now; so happy and independent. It's been really hard on the poor guy, not being able to move around while watching his brother and sister scoot around, climb all over him, and steal his toys. He used to just lay on his belly, screeching and fussing because he couldn't get anywhere, but now he is all smiles and squeals in excitement as he crawls around the room. He is still pretty wobbly and slow, but I'm sure he will be racing his siblings around in no time! It is so nice to see our little C-Man so happy and mobile.

Happy C-Man.

First time crawling through the tunnel!
