I'm a fairly organized and tidy person. Messes and disorganization drive me crazy. But with 3 little ones who are very mobile, curious, and into everything, messes are unavoidable. I'm learning to accept that. But I don't have to love it!
This is how the playroom starts out each day. As tidy as it can be with all of the toys we own.
After a day full of reading books,
Playing with toys while wearing hats,Taking all of the socks out of the drawer (Look what we found, Mom!),
And later taking everything else out of the other drawers ,
It's funny how when they noticed I was watching them, Reece immediately said, "No, no!" while Chase started shaking his head. They KNOW they are not supposed to be doing that!
This is what the play room ends up looking like towards the end of the day...
Notice how Reece is missing his pants!?
And keep in mind that we cleaned the room several times throughout the day (when I say we, I mean I cleaned the room and they "helped"). I have been teaching them how to put their toys away and they enjoy helping, especially when I sing the Time to Put the Toys Away song (that I made up), but obviously they don't quite "get" the whole cleaning up thing yet.
Oh and that's not all...
They also rearranged the kitchen (the chairs, stools, highchairs, dog bowls and garbage can).
I'm not even going to show you what they did to the family room or upstairs.

We are so alike it our parenting skills! I'm anal and organized and I've got baby gates all over the house. Hahaha. But it's oh so fun, isn't it?
