Easter 2010

We didn't do anything fancy this Easter. In fact, we didn't even go to church. I still feel horribly guilty about that, but the kids don't handle the nursery well and that makes things just miserable for us. But then again, one can still worship the Lord and thank Him for the gift of Jesus Christ without going to church.

Anyways, we hung out at home in the morning and Aunt Allison came over for brunch. The kids each got an Easter basket with plastic eggs in it. WHAT!? No candy and toys, you ask... Well, I don't like them to eat candy and they have plenty of toys already. But believe me, the basket and plastic eggs were just fine with them! They thought that was fantastic fun!

We went over to Grandma Judy & Grandpa Bill's for dinner to celebrate Easter AND Aunt Amy's birthday. I didn't get many pictures because the kids went buck wild and it was just too chaotic! They thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and Chase ended up eating more than his Daddy! AND then he ate half a cupcake, half a piece of cherry pie, half of a Peep, and 2 jellybeans - so much for limiting their sugar intake!!! He paid the price later (or should I say, WE paid the price) with several diaper blow-outs.

    

The kids had a great time - they played hard, ate too much, and stayed up way past their bedtime. So needless to say, they slept like rocks.
