First Snow

Other than trekking back and forth to the hospital in blizzard-like conditions when the kids were just a few weeks old, they've never experienced snow first-hand.

So we were super excited when the weather forecasters were predicting snow. 

We had been showing the kids snow on TV and in books, but they couldn't quite grasp the concept without experiencing it themselves.

So we waited outside in the freezing cold...

But no snow came.

The next day, however, the snow began!

The kids were quite intrigued.

The snow fell and fell and by later that evening, we had ourselves a winter wonderland.

It was a little too cold for our liking, though, 

so we were only able to spend about 5 minutes out playing in it.

So now we can officially say that the kids have experienced their first snow.
