The kids were super helpful little elves over the holidays.
They helped mommy wrap presents,
okay maybe they just messed everything up and crumpled up the scraps of wrapping paper.
They helped decorate the tree
and maybe only half of the ornaments got broken.
And they helped make Christmas cookies.
They spread flour on the counter
and rolled out the dough (with Mom's help).
They smashed their cookie cutters and their fingers into the dough.
They ate a ton of dough until Mommy took it away.
They didn't understand why they couldn't eat it all.
Before they ate it all though, we managed to get one cookie per child cut and into the oven.
Then they anxiously waited for 8 long minutes while the cookies baked.
And finally they got to enjoy all of their hard work and enjoy their fresh out of the oven cookie.
Then I had to hide the rest of the cookies so they didn't continuously pester me all day long for
"more cookie please."
I think I've created three cookie monsters :)
