Yight-Yighs.
Yott-yahs.
Yigh-Yights.
I'm not quite sure how it's pronounced.
Or how it's spelled.
All I know is that my kids say it A LOT.
Translation = Lights.
They are obsessed with lights.
Traffic lights,
flashlights,
headlights,
fluorescent lights,
street lights,
lamp lights,
and especially CHRISTMAS LIGHTS.
Everywhere we go, someone is always pointing and shouting
"Yight-Yigh!"
Which is almost always followed by an
"OH WOW!" or "WOWIE!"
So anyways, we took lots of drives this holiday season so they could enthusiastically yell and point at all of the festive Christmas lights. Hearing the constant shrieks of excitement in the backseat brought many smiles to our faces.
In addition to our many drives through neighborhoods, we also took them to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens to see their amazing light display.
It was COLD, but the kids were in awe. It was difficult for them to contain their excitement and not run to touch the lights.
They had a hard time understanding why they couldn't go touch, which led to a few minor temper tantrums :) Luckily Grandma and Grandpa were with us to help control the chaos.
Kate loving on Frosty.
Everyone loving on Frosty. He got mauled.
The best way to stop the kids from running rampant.
Thanks for the pictures, Grandpa Bill!

I forgot all about that place! The last time I went was about five years ago. It's amazing and much better than Zoolights. Looks like the kiddos had a blast.
