Christmas 2010

I know, Christmas was over a whole month ago and I'm just now writing a post about it,
but gimme a break, I've got triplets.
Busy triplets.
Triplets who are working their way through the "terrible twos".
Triplets who have been VERY sick.

Anyways, enough excuses.
Here's a look at what our holidays were like this year (or should I say last year?).

We smashed Grandpa Bill's gingerbread house that he spent hours constructing...

 and then we ate it.

The cousins had fun together.

We started Christmas morning at 4:30am, thanks to our dear little C-Man.
He had no idea it was Christmas morning, he just decided that he wanted to get up that early.
They were a little dazed when they walked into the living room.
Maybe because it was SO early, maybe because it was filled with presents :)
I think they enjoyed opening their stockings most of all.
Who doesn't like digging through a sock only to find endless little treasures like Pez, Hot Wheels cars, train whistles, and little books?
The Elmo slippers were a total hit.

Kate making some Christmas morning tea.

 A drill just like Daddy's!

Once Reece opened his new fire truck, he spent the majority of the morning laying on the floor like this.

A play kitchen from Aunt Amy & Uncle Frank!

A train table from Grandma Judy & Grandpa Bill. I spent a good hour Christmas Eve assembling the whole track system, only to have them destroy it within minutes of opening it.

Kate opening her new dollhouse/bookcase from Santa, which she wasn't overly excited about. I think I was more excited about it. It looks so cute in her room!
Santa brought Reece his own Cozy Coupe car so that Chase could finally enjoy the one he got for his birthday without anyone fighting him for it.
We went to assemble the thing and found that the door was missing, which meant we couldn't put the roof on either. So poor Reece got a convertible with no door.
He didn't seem to mind though and the door eventually arrived one week after Christmas.
It wasn't long before Chase had to try out the new convertible too.

Santa brought Chase more "choo-choos", but since he had already opened most of his cool presents, the trains didn't really seem to interest him.

The day after Christmas, Aunt Allison, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Ken, and Great-Grandpa Harold came over...
with MORE presents!
Each of the kids got a motorized ATV from Grandma & Grandpa
and helmets (thank you!) from Great-Grandpa Harold.

The kids were not happy about having to sit still for a few pictures
instead of playing with all of their cool new toys.

With all of the newly acquired stuff, I feel like our house is being overrun by toys!
I can't even turn around in my kitchen without stepping on plastic food or tripping over someone's car.

Therefore, it has been my mission over the past few weeks to organize and purge!
The mission has not been successful yet.

So there you have it...
Christmas 2010 in a nutshell.

Yay! Sounds like a successful Christmas. The toy purge seems to be an on-going, never-ending (never completed) process. Hope you are well enough for MOPs next week!

What a great Christmas! Your little ones have so much love in their life! I love that the boys kept their Elmo slippers on the whole time.

Looked like a wonderful Christmas. I loved the The Thomas the Train caption. So true of little engineers. What a great gift for years to come!
