Sweets for our Sweets

As a special Valentine's Day treat, we gave the kids their first tastes of chocolate fondue.

We cut up bananas, strawberries, and marshmallows and gave them each a skewer for dipping.

They were in hog heaven!

But, boy, what a giant mess.

Chocolate was caked in their hair, behind their ears, ALL OVER their faces and clothes, on the counter, and on the bottom of their socks. We ended up having to hose them down in the shower and run their clothes through the washer twice to get all of the chocolate off.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea in hindsight, but we sure had fun.

Three cheers for not being intimidated by the makings of a certain mess. Talk about providing experiences for them that will provide a rich framework for life - this is just one more. Besides they will be chocoholics for sure and will recognize a good thing when they see it coming. It's genetic anyway! :> Enjoy, little ones, you're having the time of your lives!

YUM! Great idea having them sit on the counter!
