Day 154. Pink Dogwood.

I have fond memories of riding around in the backseat of my grandparents' car as Grandma Wanda pointed out every flowering pink dogwood tree we passed.
"Look kids, isn't that a beautiful pink dogwood!?"
I can even recall her saying that exact same thing as Jacob and I (as adults) rode around with them.
She loved pink dogwoods and now I have grown to love them too.

I had always planned to plant a pink dogwood in our yard in memory of Grandma Wanda, but our neighbors beat us to the punch last year by graciously planting one in our front yard for us (and they didn't even know the story about Grandma).

Anyways, it has just flowered for the first time and it is gorgeous
Every time I pass by it, I can hear Grandma saying, "Look kids, isn't that a beautiful pink dogwood!?"

;) Mine are orchids. I will never forget her bathtub full of them and she would always show me them every time I visited. Miss her so much but its nice to have little memories of her and see her in the beautiful things around us.
