9 Months!

Wow, I can hardly believe 9 months have flown by. They continue to amaze me every day with new discoveries and new accomplishments. I can't even remember what life was like before these three little blessings. We had our 9 month well-visit to the pediatrician today. After an hour and a half of being examined, measured, weighed and poked with needles as they wiggled, fussed, and shredded and ate the paper that covers the exam table (I kid you not, there was paper flying everywhere, some on the floor, some in their fists, some hanging out of their mouths - they shredded the entire piece of paper and had a great time doing it!) we were given the good news that everyone is big and healthy! Here is a picture of them right before they discovered that they were sitting on paper - wu hoo! Chase is now the tallest baby and has gone from the 5th percentile for height to the 75th! I knew he would catch up, after all he has two amazons for parents. He is also the heaviest baby weighing in at 22 lbs.
Reece has a tooth! I knew he was teething because the last week has been miserable with all of his crying, not eating, weird sleeping patterns and a slight fever, but I felt like a knucklehead that I didn't notice that a tooth had actually broken through already. I usually feel his gums every day, but missed a day, so it must have popped out yesterday on his 9 month birthday! It is razor sharp, but so cute! The doc said that Chase also should have a tooth or two erupting here in the next week - oh boy! Thank you, God, for Tylenol!
And our little champ, Kate, has really caught up to her brothers in size. She is only one inch shorter than Reece and weighs 19 1/2 lbs! She behaved so well and didn't even flinch when they pricked her big toe and gave her a shot in the thigh. She is a tough little bird!
