Playroom

We are so excited to finally have a playroom! The room is actually supposed to be a formal dining room, but since we hardly have time to eat real meals together, we don't have much use for a dining room right now. So, we turned it into a playroom for the kids and we all LOVE it! We bought a big piece of cheap carpet at Lowe's to put over the good carpet so they can spit up and make a mess and I won't freak out about stains on the brand new carpet (By the way, carrot baby food stains big time. Why didn't anyone tell me not to wear white clothes when feeding them carrots!?). The room is totally safe, with all of the outlets covered, the blinds are cordless, and the humongous baby gate keeps them contained in the play area. And it's right next to the kitchen so I can actually get some stuff done while they play. They still seem to bonk their heads on the walls and toys - I guess you can't baby-proof everything!

As soon as we moved in, Reece started to crawl and that boy can get around (and he gets into everything)! I think he had just been waiting for his new playroom. Chase is rolling like a maniac and steamrolls to wherever he wants. He still gets a bit upset sometimes when he is on his tummy and and all of a sudden forgets how to roll back over. Kate is a ninja mover. She is not crawling yet, but somehow seems to get all over the room when I am not looking. I don't know how she does it. I think it's a combination of rolling, army crawling, and inch-worming.
