Happy Fourth of July!

Our Fourth of July was full of festivities.
I made some fancy-schmancy red, white and blue cupcakes.
The kids were decked out in their red, white and blue outfits.
They each got a little flag to wave. Apparently their mama did not teach them flag etiquette because their flags were used to hit everything in sight and were drug all over the ground.
We did some tame kid-friendly fireworks (snakes, smoke bobs, sparklers, pop-its) in our driveway.
Chase was in love with the pop-its. He got so excited that he would start laughing and shrieking and then fall over.

Then we headed up to the cul-de-sac for our neighborhood block party.
The kids were buck-wild and spent the whole time racing around. They wouldn't even sit still to eat anything.
We didn't get any pictures (aside from the one below) because we spent the whole time herding our little children and keeping them out of trouble.
By the time the fireworks started, the kids were tired, cold and cranky.
They liked watching the pretty lights, but they weren't a big fan of the loud noises.
By 7:30, we had to call it a night and head home to bed.

Yes, Reece is wearing a watch. He found one of Jacob's old watches that doesn't work and he loves to wear it! He calls it "ti-tah" (aka tick tock).
