Yesterday morning as the kids were taking their morning naps, the clouds started breaking up and the sun began to make an appearance.
So as soon as the kids got up, I suited them up, lathered them with sunscreen, packed a picnic lunch, and we headed up to Forest Park Water Playground (designed just for toddlers!). We also stopped and picked up Daddy from work along the way.
When we got to the park and unloaded all of our gear, the clouds made a mockery of me and covered up the sun. It was COLD! The temperature didn't even hit 60 degrees while we were there! Brrrrrr.
We went and sat next to the water playground and ate our picnic lunch anyways.
But then curiosity got the best of the kids and they slowly got closer and closer to the water...
And then before we knew it, they were soaked!
These kids LOVE the water.
Correction. Chase and Kate LOVE the water.
Reece? Not so much.
The boy even cries in the bath if water touches his face.
So he spent the entire time racing around on the concrete,
but not going anywhere near the water.

If he's going to be a member of this family, we are going to have to fix that!
The kids were ice-cold popsicles by the time we left!
