No, that is not his own foot he is sucking on, the foot belongs to his brother. I told you he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!
He does this maneuver daily by sucking on the tassles of the blanket while rolling over and then ta-da! The blanket is now on his head! He thinks this is hysterical. Actually he thinks most things are hysterical.
Gone are the days of lying still playing on the play mat; this boy wiggles and rolls and often ends up tangled up in the play mat or with it on top of his head.
Who cares about the toys, I want to eat the whole play bin! He worked hard to get to it, pull on it and chewed on the edge of it until he got bored (about 2 minutes later) and moved on to something else. This kid gets something in his sight and works hard, no matter how long it takes, to get to what he wants. It may take him a half an hour of rolling and scooting, but he always gets to what he wants. He is one determined little guy. It will be chaos when he starts crawling, which I suspect will be any time now - he is VERY close!
And then after a hard day of work, this boy crashes hard. When we put him in his crib, he immediately flips over onto his belly, sucks his thumb and is out like a light. But even though he sleeps hard, he still manages to keep wiggling throughout the night because when we go get him in the morning he has usually turned 180 degrees and is smashed against the slats at the opposite end of his crib. We are always surprised in the morning where he ends up in his crib; sometimes I gasp thinking he has escaped, but then I see him in another corner of the crib all balled up with his rear end sticking up in the air. What a goofball!
