Day 72. Misunderstanding.

Our kids have become really good communicators and while I understand pretty much everything they say, there are still a few occasions where I am left scratching my head.

At snack time this morning all three kids sat down at the table and I asked them what they would like for snack to which they all replied, "I want snack please."
I calmly asked, "What kind of snack would you like?"
Again they repeated, "Snack please."
Growing a little frustrated and raising my voice, I again asked, "What kind of snack?"
"SNACK PLEASE!" they all yelled in response.
Completely irritated, I hollered back, "WHAT KIND OF SNACK!?"
The hollering went back and forth a few more times until I finally had them walk to the pantry and show me what they wanted.

Turns out they were saying "SNAP PEAS" not "SNACK PLEASE."

I then had to tuck my tail between my legs and apologize for hollering at them. Whoops.

I've done this so many times. Like when Nolan was shouting at me about how he wanted to go to "rose". I finally got it...Lowe's! Hahah.

I've got to try those snap peas!

We had this EXACT same conversation today about those snap peas. He loves those things but it was very frustrating trying to figure it out.
