Kate's desire to be like her mama is really quite endearing.
She follows me around the house, cleaning up after everyone. She folds laundry with me. She stands next to me pretending to put on her makeup as I get ready in the bathroom each morning. She stands with her hands on her hips in my closet just like I do as I try to decide what to wear. She bosses the boys around and has to be frequently reminded that she is not the mommy. I even catch her making the same facial expressions as me and using the same tone of voice I use.
One of her favorite ways to be like mommy is to have her toenails painted the same color as mine. So every few weeks I let her pick out a new color for our toes. Most often, that color is pink.
