Chase and I had a one-on-one date today. It's always fun to get to spend some alone time with ONE child. I always cherish these times, no matter where it is we go.
We drove all the way down to Bellevue for Chase's doctor appointment. Don't worry, he's not sick, it was just a check-up following a surgery he had about 6 months ago.
Chase had a great time in the waiting room, walking around exploring everything and playing with the toys. As we waited, I was reminded of the first time I brought him in, back when he was just a few months old. He was so tiny and I was so terrified of germs that I was a nervous wreck. And today, my little tiny boy is not so little anymore, he was walking around, and I didn't even have a conniption fit about germs!
Once we got into the exam room, he was not so happy anymore. First we was mad at me because I wouldn't let him play with the outlet on the wall. I know, I'm so mean! At least playing with his shoes made him kind of happy.
And then he threw an absolute tantrum when the doctor examined him. It was a joy. Luckily the exam only lasted about 2 minutes. He checked out fine and all is good!
Here is a sad little picture of Chase and Daddy back when he had his surgery in September (9 months old) at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. Such a scary thing for parents to go through!
We're so glad he's all good now though! Praise God!
