A few days ago, when Reece was grabbing the fork out of Jacob's hand during dinner and screeching because he wanted to hold it himself, we decided it was probably time to start teaching them how to use a fork themselves.
They are so intrigued with their forks and love using them so much, that they will now eat almost anything we put in front of them. This has been great for Reece, who is a very picky eater!
Here they are showing off their fork-using skills while eating their mangoes and veggie-filled meatloaf at lunch today.
Most of the time, they get tired of waiting for me to help them and just end up holding the fork in one hand, while using their other hand to shovel food into their mouths.
I keep reminding myself that it's going to take them a while to get the hang of it. After all, it took them months and months to finally get the hang of drinking all of their milk out of a sippy cup.
