Our visit to the doctor went great and they are as healthy as can be. The kids are huge, but we already knew that! Reece weighs 18 lbs 13 oz, Chase weighs 19 lbs 3 oz., and Kate weighs 15 lbs 10 oz. (not so little any more!). Although Kate's only in the 10th percentile for height, her head size is in the 95th percentile! The doctor was a little worried, but I assured her that large heads run in my family. So she measured my head just to be sure and she said, "Oh my, big heads do run in your family!"
They got all of their vaccinations and did great. They also had their blood tested to check their iron levels to see if we could stop giving them daily doses of Poly-vi-sol (multivitamin/iron supplement) and all is good! We are relieved because Poly-vi-sol is EXPENSIVE and they no longer need it. We also got the okay to stop giving them the high calorie preemie formula, which is also very expensive (we go through 1 1/2 cans a day @ $15 a can!) and can now give them regular strength formula, which can be bought at Costco for much cheaper! WU HOO!! We got the green light to start solids too! I can't believe how much has changed and how they seem like big kids now.
